Individual membership

During an election campaign, objective analysis of economic policy is more important than ever. You can join our network and help us to improve public debate by becoming a member.

Our commentary on party manifestos and campaign promises leads the public debate, providing individuals with the tools to understand and evaluate complex decisions. What's more, the IFS is entirely independent of political parties, companies and pressure groups, allowing us to hold politicians of all stripes to account when their numbers don’t add up or their policies are poorly designed.

How you can help

As a member, your support will augment our research funding and allow us to be flexible, commenting on policy as it happens, which is more important than ever during an election campaign. Your support also means that we can continue to provide everything we do free of charge to everyone on our website.

Everyone who donates at least £5 per month will become an IFS member and will receive the following benefits:

  • An invitation to our annual members' event with presentations from IFS researchers and a drinks reception.
  • Advance ticket booking for events that are likely to sell out, such as our Budget briefings.
  • Regular e-newsletters outlining our recent work and other key highlights, as well as printed updates, such as InBrief magazine.
  • The right to take part in elections for members' representatives on the IFS Council.

To support the work of the Institute for Fiscal Studies through a regular monthly donation, please click on the button below to be taken to the CAF website.
